We are sorry to announce that currently no visits are allowed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
There are several ways to visit the KMP meerkats:
- On a one/two weeks visit: Stay at the KMP for one week or longer: You get ample time to watch and photograph your favourite meerkats, observe research, and meet the researchers. This offering for couples or groups is on a self-drive/self-catering basis, with accommodation at the KMP field site. Click here for more information.
- As a day visitor: A half-day visit to a meerkat group can be organised if you are a guest of our neighbours, the Van Zylsrus Hotel or the Leeupan B&B. Click here for more information.
- As a research volunteer: People with a background in biology or conservation can join the project as a research volunteer, for the duration of 12 months – get to know the meerkats on a very intimate basis, and improve your field work skills. Click here for more information.
Film our meerkats: The KMP meerkats have starred in many documentaries – the KMP can provide the ideal setup for filming wild meerkats. Click here for more information.
